The oldest sea fortress of Western Europe

Fort Rammekens was built in 1547, making it the oldest sea fortress in Western Europe. It's located on the Westerschelde, near Ritthem. Stand on top of the fortress and take in the magnificent views of the Westerschelde. You can see as far as Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.
